artsVest in Prince Edward County
The Prince Edward County Theatre's partnerships with multiple business partners
John Burns, Artistic Director of the County Theatre Group has described artsVest as “transformational”. artsVest encouraged him to approach business with a sponsorship plan, with value-add opportunities on offer, rather than previous asks for smaller donations. The results were very encouraging and he has decided to turn the theatre into a professional company.
The County theatre undertook a production sponsorship program that, if fully subscribed, would yield over $10K. They were successful in selling the entire sponsorship package to eight separate sponsors. This allowed the project to proceed.
“The artsVest Program rests at the very foundation of our ability to realize the production of “Jesus Christ Superstar!” here in Prince Edward County. We could not have pulled it off without their help.” John Burns – Artistic Director – County Theatre Group, Wellington, Ontario.
“Jesus Christ: Superstar!” has the diversity and energy that reflects the future of the Arts Community in the County. artsVest was central to this” Rick Grant – Teasle's Drug Store, Picton, Ontario.
“We recognize the enormity of a project of this nature. We are more than pleased that artsVest was able to match our support to make this project possible.” David Sweet – Books on the Bay, Picton, Ontario.
“The above is merely a sampling of the discourse that has happened in the County around this play, and its relationship to the artsVest program.” – John Burns, Artistic Director.
